Thermographic camera

We use the VarioCAM® HDx video thermography camera from Infratec to monitor temperatures - both in research projects and on site with industrial customers.
Among other things, we use the camera to record temperature developments on machines and test benches during operation and to measure the temperature distribution in components and tools.
For example, the thermal imaging camera can be used to record the temperatures of a real forming process in order to verify simulation results.
We use the IRBIS 3 software to evaluate the camera data.
3D camera

We use the rc_vvisard 160 3D camera from Roboception GmbH for three-dimensional images. The monochrome camera has stereovision and can be used when the viewing distance is greater than 50 cm and the lighting conditions are difficult. At an object distance of 50 cm, a 3D depth resolution of up to 0.1 mm is possible. By using a global shutter, it is also possible to capture sharp images of fast-moving objects.
We used this camera in the ALSO 4.0 research project, among others, to monitor the melting process in an aluminum melting furnace and to generate the data for an AI-based furnace control system.
In addition to static mounting, mobile applications are also possible - for example on a cobot to add object recognition.
Monochrome camera

For process monitoring, we use the Allied Vision Prosilica GT5120 monochrome camera, which can capture high-contrast images. The industrial camera with 26.2 megapixels is suitable for use in a wide temperature range. We used this camera in the ALSO 4.0 research project, among others, to analyze the molten bath surface in an aluminium melting furnace.
