Due to various developments in the world, companies are currently facing a multitude of challenges and are therefore forced to position themselves sustainably for the future. In the research project “AutoSus - Enabling SMEs to implement sustainable automation solutions in production and developing an implementation strategy”, a method for evaluating ecological, economic and social sustainability is to be implemented within a software demonstrator. This should enable companies to implement sustainable automation solutions for assembly processes.

Your tasks

  • Analysis of existing metrics for social, ecological and economic sustainability
  • Design and implementation of a software demonstrator to evaluate the sustainability of automation solutions in Python
  • Implementation of a user interface for input and results output
  • Testing and validating the software demonstrator using sample projects

Your profile

You are studying one of the following subjects:

  • Mechanical engineering
  • Sustainable Engineering
  • Industrial engineering
  • or a comparable subject

You are interested in working on climate protection measures in the field of production technology and automation. Knowledge of Python is advantageous. You also have good analytical skills and work in a concentrated and project-oriented manner.

Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) is required. Very good written and spoken German skills are required.
