To lower the barriers to the implementation of AGVs in SMEs, the FTS-Ready project aims to develop a method based on a maturity model (MM). The MM assesses, based on the existing infrastructure, the extent to which SMEs meet the requirements for implementing AGVs and identifies any measures that need to be implemented beforehand. Furthermore, the method includes a decision-support tool designed to propose a vendor-neutral AGV solution based on given logistical requirements. The entire method is implemented in a software demonstrator.

Your tasks

  • Structured research on prerequisites, maturity gaps, and measures related to the planning, implementation, and operation of AGVs, as well as on knowledge-based decision-making approaches
  • Formalization of a suitable input and output format, including application scenarios, AGV technology class, prerequisites, current capability level, target capability level, and measures
  • Development of a source-based catalog of measures, including their association with prerequisites, triggers, target states, dependencies, and validity conditions
  • Identification of possible inference methods
  • Definition of selection criteria and criteria-based selection of methods
  • Prototype implementation of the selected inference logic, including clear justification and references to the sources of the generated actions
  • Evaluation based on AGV application scenarios and defined maturity gap analysis
