Production at a glance: Is my company ready for MES implementation?

A Manufacturing Execution System (MES) enables companies to operate much more efficiently. However, the introduction of such software is time-consuming and expensive. Therefore, small and medium-sized companies in particular shy away from it. The Institut für Integrierte Produktion Hannover (IPH) gGmbH wants to pave the way to the MES system for medium-sized companies: The scientists are developing a readiness check with which companies can easily test whether they are already ready for the MES introduction or whether they still have to make further preparations. This is intended to reduce the effort required for MES implementation and avoid bad investments.
