In the AWeFaP research project, we are developing a methodology that helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to use digital tools in a targeted manner in factory planning. The aim is to make planning processes more efficient and transparent.

Your tasks

The aim of your work is to create detailed documentation and benefit assessments for these tools. You will support the research team in developing a structured overview that helps small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to efficiently select and use suitable digital tools.

Specifically, you will work on:

  • Researching and systematically analysing factory planning software (e.g. CAD, simulation and data management tools)
  • Evaluating the possible applications, user-friendliness and potential benefits
  • Recording data requirements and level of detail
  • Creating short profiles for a digital tool compendium
  • Participating in the clustering and categorisation of the tools

 

Your profile

What you bring to the table

  • Degree in industrial engineering, production and logistics, mechanical engineering, computer science or similar
  • Interest in digital factory planning, Industry 4.0 and software analysis
  • Confident use of MS Office, ideally initial experience with CAD, simulation or visualisation tools
  • Structured, analytical approach to work and enjoyment of technical research
  • Good written and spoken German
