Identification and evaluation of required data sources for RPA

The internal supply chain (inLi) in companies involves a large number of processes that are characterised by repetitive and administrative tasks. In many companies, continuous digital data transmission is not possible. The reason for this is, on the one hand, that not all data is available digitally and, on the other hand, the use of different systems such as the quality management system (QM) or the ERP system. In order to cope with the heterogeneity of the processes within this chain, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a promising approach. With the help of an RPA software robot, the administrative processes in the inLi can be automated.The RPAlog research project is concerned with identifying processes in the inLi that can be automated.

Your tasks

Goal: Analysis of the information requirements for the application of RPA in the internal supply chain and evaluation of these with regard to the required data quality.

• Analyse and systematise the data sources relevant for the internal supply chain.
• Identify typical quality deficiencies and develop various improvement options.
• Derive measures to increase data quality and make the necessary adjustments to the data organisation.
• Final preparation of the results
