The MotorInspector project aims to automate measurements in the quality assurance of electric motors using innovative digital measurement methods and robotics.
You can contribute to various tasks in the areas of simulation, CAD design, concept development, robotics, and test setup and execution.
Your tasks
Depending on your personal interests and skills, there are various areas of responsibility in which you can get involved:
- Design and manufacture of a motor demonstrator for the measurement process
- FEM simulation of sensor deformation under various boundary conditions to identify potential problems
- Development of a robot-assisted automation concept for measurement, possibly using additional sensor technology such as cameras or lasers
- Design and simulation tasks for the implementation of the robot-assisted concept
- Test setup and commissioning for practical testing of the measurement process on the test bench
Upon consultation, undergraduate or master's theses can also be carried out in these subject areas.
Your profile
- Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, production engineering, industrial engineering, or similar
- Interest in simulation, robotics, sensor technology, and measurement technology
- Ideally, you have knowledge of CAD and/or FEM software and have already used it yourself for design or simulation
- Analytical thinking, structured working style, and independence
- Good written and spoken German and/or English skills
