As part of the IGF-funded research project EnKi-Bot, a company-specific chatbot for purchasing based on large language models (LLM) is to be developed. The chatbot is intended to bundle information from various purchasing systems and documents, while simultaneously capturing implicit expert knowledge through a special interview mode and thus making it directly accessible to employees. In addition to the technical implementation, measures are being developed to increase the acceptance of new technologies so that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular can benefit from greater efficiency and quality in purchasing.
Your tasks
The aim of the work is to systematically collect and structure the requirements for a purchasing chatbot and to document them in a specification sheet. For this purpose, fields of activity with a high search and knowledge effort in purchasing are identified, existing systems and data sources are taken into account and a methodical knowledge modelling of purchasing knowledge is carried out.
Work packages:
- literature and market analysis: overview of knowledge management in purchasing, enterprise search solutions and data protection aspects.
- stakeholder interviews: Conducting interviews with procurement experts.
- knowledge modelling: mapping the relevant processes, roles and data sources using PROMOTE or GPO-WM.
- requirements definition: creation of use cases and definition of acceptance criteria for the chatbot.
- validation: discussion of the results in a workshop with the company
