Research in the field of mechanical engineering at the Hanover site is relevant to practical applications. To ensure that research findings are successfully transferred from university institutes to industry, there are two special institutions that act as intermediaries: IPH gGmbH and TEWISS GmbH. While IPH also conducts research and its scientists derive consulting and training measures for companies from the research projects, TEWISS directly implements the research from the institutes, for example in the form of special machine construction.

Develop new ideas away from the desk: This is made possible by the creative space at the Institut für Integrierte Produktion Hannover (IPH) gGmbH. The retreat is intended to stimulate reflection and creativity, but also to facilitate teamwork.

"A different view of metal" is the title of the photo exhibition currently on display in East Frisia. The exhibition was organized by the Institute of Materials Science (IW) at Leibniz Universität Hannover. The pictures were taken by five metallographers from the Production Technology Centre Hannover (PZH).

IPH employee Benjamin Küster won first prize at the Jungheinrich Excellence Awards for his master's thesis. The aim of his work was to develop a system for gesture recognition that allows driverless transport vehicles to be controlled by hand signals.

For the first time, the Institut für Integrierte Produktion Hannover has awarded the IPH Future Prize. The award went to Daniel Kampen for his bachelor thesis on evolutionary algorithms. His results help the forging industry to save time and material.
