The use of driverless transport vehicles is becoming increasingly important. This development can also be seen in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The potential arising from this has also led to increased interest in the use of AGVs in intralogistics on the research side.

The aim of the bachelor's/project/master's thesis is to investigate the extent to which the logistics performance of AGVs in intralogistics can be improved.

Your tasks

  • Literature research on FTF, logistical parameters, etc.
  • Concept development
  • Simulation setup (e.g. in Anylogic)
  • Network coding of driverless transport vehicles
  • Material flow analysis to investigate logistics performance
  • Programming in Python
  • etc.

Your profile

You are studying one of the following subjects:

 

  • Industrial engineering
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Production and logistics
  • Mechatronics
  • Electrical engineering
  • Business informatics

You are interested in automation, intralogistics and automated guided vehicles.
You also have knowledge of:

  • Programming with Python
  • Simulation environments (Anylogic, ROS, Gazebo, etc.)

Good written and spoken German and English skills are necessary for the job.
