The tool- and mold-making work group (AKWZB) is a network to exchange experiences and trainings for companies and departments of  tool and mold making in Germany. The participants of the work group are CEOs, Heads of Departments and managers from that sector. It was founded in 1997 by the IPH – Institut für Integrierte Produktion Hannover gGmbH.

The goal of the work group is to connect industry and science, to share knowledge and to drive innovation.

Your tasks

Your tasks include researching various topics in the tool and die industry, planning and organizing networking events, and managing a LinkedIn group for the working group.

For this purpose, you inform yourself independently and continuously about the latest developments in the tool and die industry. You research interesting topics as well as speakers and venues for future networking events. You will attend the regular network meetings, including company visits to different companies from the industry, and write short reports about them. For the LinkedIn group of the working group, you create exciting posts on relevant topics for our members and create editorial plans.

Your profile


You are studying one of the following subjects:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Industrial engineering
  • Production and Logistics
  • Machetronics
  • Public Relations
  • Economics
  • or comparable

You are interested in topics related to tool and die making, organizing network meetings, and managing a social media channel.  You also enjoy personal contact with industry partners and customers.

You have knowledge of common office applications such as Word or Excel. Existing experience with LinkedIn or the support of social media channels is just as advantageous as knowledge of Adobe applications such as Photoshop or Lightroom.

Fluent German and very good written and spoken English are required.
