In the energy management working group of the Hanover region's neu/wagen initiative, IPH supports companies in the transformation towards more efficient use of energy. Energy management systems (EMS) in accordance with DIN 50001 are an important part of this.

Together with a company in the Hanover region, a metric for calculating the energy performance indicator EnPI is to be developed in this project. To this end, the factors influencing energy consumption are to be determined. In the next step, the standardization of the key figures is to be worked out so that they represent the effectiveness of the energy-saving measures independently of influencing factors.

Your tasks

As part of the project, you can work independently on the following tasks, among others:

  • Research on DIN EN ISO 50001 and energy indicators
  • Coordination with the partner company
  • Determination of the influencing factors
  • Development and evaluation of a calculation metric
  • Preparation of written documentation

Your profile

You are studying one of the following subjects:

  • Mechanical engineering
  • Electrical engineering
  • mechatronics
  • (technical) computer science
  • Mathematics
  • Production and Logistics
  • production engineering
  • or something comparable

A prerequisite for the job is an independent and structured way of working, as well as a basic interest in energy management.

A very good command of written and spoken German is a prerequisite.
