Due to various developments in the world, companies are currently facing a variety of challenges and are therefore forced to position themselves sustainably for the future. The research project ‘AutoSus – Enabling SMEs to implement sustainable automation solutions in production and developing an implementation strategy’ aims to develop a method for evaluating ecological, economic and social sustainability that will enable companies to implement sustainable automation solutions for assembly processes.

Your tasks

  • Research into existing assessment methods in the area of sustainability
  • Discussion and comparison of suitable methods for assessing the sustainability of automation solutions
  • Development of a concept for evaluating the ecological, economic and social sustainability of automation solutions in production and application using an example
  • Preparation of written documentation of the results (student work) and presentation of the results if necessary

Your profile

You are studying one of the following subjects:

  • Mechanical engineering
  • Sustainable Engineering
  • Industrial engineering
  • or comparable

You are interested in working on climate protection measures in the field of production technology and automation. You also have good analytical skills and work in a focussed and project-oriented manner.

Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.) is required. A very good command of written and spoken German is required.
