In the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially that of Machine Learning(s), the focus is on the processing of numerous, diverse and exciting tasks. This involves identifying areas of application and potential savings in small and medium-sized enterprises. Both the selection and the implementation of these complex algorithms pose great challenges for many companies. In the course of this, methods for simplified implementation are to be developed and validated.
In addition, the topic of factory planning is becoming increasingly important. In addition to time and cost efficiency, other factors also play an important role here. To enable optimal factory planning, we at IPH are researching efficiency-increasing and effort-reducing measures or methods.
Your tasks
You can be creative in one or more of the following tasks:
- Identifying machine learning applications in manufacturing
- Supporting the implementation of projects with industrial partners
- Carrying out literature research
- Support in the preparation of research proposals and publications
Furthermore, support in the preparation of external and internal events, seminars and workshops is possible.
Your profile
You are studying one of the following subjects:
- Industrial engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Production & Logistics
- Business Informatics
- Mechatronics
- Computer Science
You are interested in the topic of artificial intelligence, especially machine learning, and its programming. Furthermore, you like to deal with the topic of factory planning. In addition, you have knowledge of the relevant MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel, the programming language Python and VBA programming. A good command of written and spoken German and English is a prerequisite.
You are communicative, open to new topics and appreciate working in flat hierarchies. Finally, you will have the opportunity to actively shape your own work area.
