The project

The abbreviation "5GAPS" stands for "5G Access to Public Spaces". The long-term goal of the project is to simulate Hannover digitally and in real time in a multi-dimensional spatio-temporal coordinate system. This will create a dynamic digital twin of urban outdoor areas as well as indoor areas in buildings or commercially used halls.

Your tasks

Your task will be to support the development of a simulation environment for testing static and dynamic measurement methods and algorithms.

For this:

  • you carry out research on different simulation environments and measurement methods
  • you support the programming
  • you show potential for optimisation on the basis of simulations

Your profile

You study one of the following subjects:

  • Mechanical engineering
  • Computer science
  • or comparable degree programs

You are interested in simulations and ideally already have knowledge of 3D measurement.

Good written and spoken German and English skills are necessary for the job.
