Lean methods

Lean methods are tools used for solving both bigger and smaller problems. Using methods, like "poka yoke" or "design for assembly and manufacturing", may help to increase efficiency in your company. Positive results of the use of lean methods may include...

–    increase of product quality,
–    increase of adherence to delivery dates,
–    reduction of processing time,
–    reduction of half done product stocks, and thus
–    reduction of costs, and
–    an increase in customer satisfaction.

The IPH has composed a summary of 73 methods, including the "5A method", "poka yoke"/ "failure mode", and "effect analysis". These instruments are intended to help companies to identify room for improvements and to put them into practice. Each page contains objects, advantages and disadvantages, examples as well as .further reading about the method described.
